The Town of Berlin Fire Department Consolidation Committee (“Steering Committee”) is comprised of multiple stakeholders within the town of Berlin, including town residents, business owners and representatives, current and former fire department personnel, and Selectboard members. Group members were selected to provide a variety of perspectives and experiences to the discussion topic detailed below.
The Committee was formed in Fall 2023 to explore the feasibility, advantages, and/or disadvantages of changing the model in which fire and emergency services are provided to the town by the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department.
